Media Guide, Official Summit Magazine and Delegates Handbook released

Media Centre


The new Ministry of Information, Communication & Technology
building which also houses the Gambia, Radio & Television Services and is the temporary
headquarters of the AU Banjul 2006 Summit coordinating secretariat.


Accreditation

All media personnel should request accreditation by filling out and submitting the corresponding Application Form E,  accompanied by an official letter from their respective  Organization along with three (2x2 cm sized) coloured photographs. 

Requests should be submitted through Gambian Diplomatic Missions abroad. Application can also be done on-line. All completed Forms should be sent to the;

Media credentials should be visibly displayed at all times during the Summit.  Media personnel accredited for coverage of the AU Banjul  Summit will have free access to the Summit Media Centre during working hours.
 A Press Briefing Room is available in the Media Centre. Delegations should appoint an accredited Media Officer to take care of arrangements for media interviews at press briefings for their delegations. Delegations wishing to organize press briefings at the Media Centre should contact the Media Centre’s Briefing Room Booking Desk through the said Media Officers. Protocol Officers will be on hand in the Media Centre to provide any assistance required by delegations.

Access to the Conference Centre will be during meeting hours only.

When media pools are formed for the coverage of specific activities on the program, the members of these pools will be provided with special identification for the occasion, in addition to the general media credentials.

Accreditation Credentials for members of media pools will be handed over personally to each participant at the Summit Media Centre.
