Today at a ceremony held
at the Department of State for Information Communication and Technology
(DOSCIT), Mr. Baboucarr Gaye, proprietor of Pro-Gam Associates,
handed over the official AU Banjul Summit Magazine to the
Secretary of State for Information Communication and Technology Hon.
Mrs. Neneh Macdouall-Gaye.
Hon. Mrs. Neneh Macdouall-Gaye emphasized
the importance of the various forms of media in today's world and
described all those involved in the publications as "pacesetters."
The SOS extended her thanks to all those involved.
The Secretary of State for Foreign
Affairs Hon Lamin Kaba Bajo, informed the gathering that HE The
President Dr. Alh Yahya A.J.J. Jammeh had placed a high level of
importance on the publication of the Summit Magazine as it would go a long way in helping to give visiting
delegates an overview of The Gambia..
In his remarks, Mr. Sonko
stressed the team spirit and teamwork that existed throughout the
project and lauded the publishers efforts in providing a positive image
of The Gambia.
In related news, the
Director of Information Services Mr. Alieu Sanyang, handed over the
official Media Guide for the African Union 2006 Banjul Summit as well as
the Summit delegates handbook. |
