General Information
The Security of Heads of State & Government and delegations attending
the Summit as well
as that of the meeting areas is the responsibility of the Government of
The Gambia and will
be guaranteed at all times from the time of arrival to the time of
departure. Security will be
provided in the residences, during meetings and during transportation.
Briefcases, bags and packages will be subject to strict security
examination at entry to all
meeting venues and VIP residences. Firearms will not be allowed into
or around the Conference Centre premises or in restricted VIP areas.
Entry into the country of Security
Officials and Weapons
Security officials entering the country are required to submit, by the
15th June 2006, the
Application for Accreditation Form D
and the Firearms Declaration Form G
duly completed.
